Reasonably how could they tell if this is not just a pen or some other object.
Seems pretty hard to believe they could tell it was a Diazepam injection pen from this murky blurry distant video.
You can hear some sort of click just before the cap hits the pavement.
Could be a pen, maybe, but the size of the cap hitting the pavement indicates otherwise.
