I recall when this was first broadcast here in the states back in the early 70's. I was still a kid but I can remember my parents being glued to the TV for each new episode.

Watched these over and over again since they came out in the 70s amazing to be able to hear those who lived it including the enemy, like Albert Speer.
Excellent series.

There’s a good series on AHC now titled “Nazis, Evolution of Evil”. Goes into depth on Hitler’s early life and rise of the NSDAP (Nazi party). You can see the common threads to today’s Alinskyites.

I remember when it originally aired and I think again in syndication at night (maybe before 3 Stooges, Honeymooners, or Benny Hill, all late night fodder in syndication in the late 70s early 80s). I think I recall the syndication run because I’d catch the end of episodes waiting for what was scheduled afterwards.
I bought this on DVD (the whole set) but still haven’t gotten around to watching it. I do plan to build up my knowledge of WWII (it is all before my time) in my lifetime but so far I’ve only read a couple of books and bought a few more.

I was 9 or 10 and enjoyed it!
It’s available on DVD. I’ve tried it on some of my younger relatives with variable success.
