I’m all for online voting. Pre-requisite is providing a social security number. That eliminates pretty much every illegal and dead person in the country.

No Democrat will ever win another election.

What is the value of electronic voting, other than faster vote counting? You could provide a SSN for identification purposes with a paper-based system. You could even make that authentication piece electronic. But the vote itself will never be secret if it's electronic. Plus, there's no way to ensure the basic integrity of the system.

You can stuff a paper ballot box, but realistically it would be hard to hide and doing it on a scale necessary to affect a presidential election would be nearly impossible to pull off (the Bush/Gore debacle notwithstanding).

But "stuffing the ballot box" in an electronic voting system consists of perhaps a single line of code, or even a minor change to a single line of "assembly code" that would be nearly impossible to detect. In fact, a tweak to the compiler would be all that would be necessary. The source code would look completely legitimate, but the machine code the compiler creates could be skewed.
