I was talking to a pilot at Eglin maybe 20 years ago. He said they all called it the Worst Fighter Squadron. I guess Langley is close enough to Washington DC that they seem to get a lot of interviews but it was the Eglin Squadron which shot down all the Migs in Iraq.

About a decade ago, the DC ANG strafed a school in NJ, iirc, during night training exercise.
