There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery. Then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved.
Well I’m black and twice someone has tried to rob me, both were white. Now I am from the country so its almost all white but again I can only speak from experience. The first time was a younger high school student. I laughed at him and walked away. The second was a meth head who pulled a knife, I pulled my Glock and he ran... I know the crime rates and stats as well as anyone here, the opposite has always applied to me though and of course it influences my perspective.
