No, I didn’t talk to other parents because: a) I don’t know the parents of the kids in her history class; and b) it wouldn’t have changed any minds and c) I don’t believe there are many conservative parents (except maybe a few RINOs) in the parent community.
But my daughter is well respected and popular among her peers, and without being overbearing, she is able to let them see that a) not everyone buys the crap they teach in school; and b) that there are popular students who aren’t afraid to stand against the SJW mindset.
Funny thing, her boyfriend is a year behind her and just starting his junior year now. He has the same history teacher that she had, and she is “coaching” him on how to deal with the guy, whom they both refer to as “the commie.” She’s made it clear that she won’t date leftists, and so he has gotten with the program. She’s looking forward to sharing her research with him on the various topics to be covered this year.
The sad truth is that most students don’t really care about American history or politics one way or the other, and neither do most parents, because you know, you have to be a “liberal” to be a good person and that’s just all there is to it.
But she is one point of light in her community. And now there is another one (her boyfriend).
And, oh yeah, my daughter is voting for Trump.
It’s all I can do.

Why all this defensiveness... woulda coulda shoulda.
If you’ve forgotten, then by all means remember.
Better late than never.
Know what would be hilarious? To pit that kid against some overwight, oversexed, undereducated modern ‘student’ and watch how fast the little pimpf kicks his arse and sends him crying to his mommy while roasting bratwurst with a bonfire fueled by his leftard tree-hugging, America-hating ‘textbooks’.
Or put a squad of his big brothers against a squad of BLM “soshul-justiss” activists and see how fast the former wins in a straight-up fight.
