I see TV commercials advertising for people that have been affected, and may have even died ... to contact some lawyers because TALCUM POWDER is the cause of cervical cancer (or something like that) and the manufacturers never told anyone !!!
They KNEW IT and sold the poison anyway !!!

I am not a big fan of the author John Grisham (has a vacation home down the street from me)because of his lib agenda but his book King of Torts is great reading for those who disdain the class action product liability industry. The use of the TV ad dragnet is one of the techniques lampooned in the story.

Next time you watch that ad, count how many times they use the word “may.”
My guess is that the actual empirical medical evidence is slim and the tort attorneys are fishing for a “victim group” and a gullible jury.
Also, the actress who does those ads does tort search ads for many issues and law groups.
