I never knew you tripped DJ?

I did I make no bones about it

Life forming no question I did not take it lightly and I sure can’t advise it for the general population and I lecture my kids about it but it was pivotal for me at that age

Best rendition I have seen of it is the Adam Grenier movie Harvard Man where he takes too much and his internal dialogue gobbles him right up

Scary

For a stable, well-adjusted person with no deeply repressed issues, it could be a positive thing, if done in a nice, comfortable environment, in the company of people you like and trust. Could be. No guarantee of that. People with any sort of issues should never go anywhere near it. Wouldn't recommend that anyone do it, even though I had my day and don't seem the worse for it. Loved The Prisoner, by the way. Great show.

Oh, no. Never took illegal drugs. It’s bad enough having labyrinthitis all the time and feeling dizzy/out-of-focus for every day for 20 years straight. But having watched “The Prisoner”, it seemed more like either some bizarre colorful nightmare (on which I have had countless - if only I could’ve filmed the one I had today !) or a drug-fueled “trip” (or, as in the film, “Point Blank” with Lee Marvin, maybe the entire thing took place at the moment of his death). Although some critics complained he didn’t know quite how to wrap the show up and just went full-on silly in the finale.

It did address a legitimate point that has been a serious problem with some individuals working with state secrets and/or spies, what do you do with people who know too much ? If it was his character of Drake from “Secret Agent”, he would be very dangerous as a disgruntled ex-employee of HMSS and it would be in the state’s interest to either kill him or have him imprisoned or isolated.
