Thanks for putting up this thread.
I’m pretty good at a few things but music never clicked.
My wife is a church organist and I ask her about chords and such but I just don’t get it.
Ghost Riders in the Sky-Wow. Made my night.
I can only imagine what it must have been like to be there in person.
That was fun. :)
Had a lot of fun & discovered a lot of new music, thanks mucho for the thread. Sorry if some of my posts were off topic but one thing lead to another, and...
There have been a few music ping lists on FR and I’ve joined all I could find but it looks like most are inactive. If anybody knows any that are still around please let me know.
One more for the road - The William Tell Overture by Mike Oldfield, actually eight Mike Oldfields...

As an entrepreneur, my business interfaces with the music industry. I partnered with a critically acclaimed mastering engineer on a few jazz albums he remastered and subsequently became friends.
My friend was a part of a weekly breakfast with Hal Blaine and other music “behind the scenes” personalities.
Funny story he told me about Ray Charles and the events that led to the agreement to remaster some of his albums.
When the price was agreed to, my mastering friend and record label president went to Ray’s house, they had a check that was also encoded in braille. When they handed the check to Ray, he “read” the check to confirm...then with a big smile on his face said, “Boys, we got a deal!”.
Later, my friend spent many days at Ray’s house to arrange and categorize all the tapes and find & use the real studio master tape for the remastering - not a 2nd or 3rd generation copy so prevalent at that time.
Thanks!
that was interesting on a bunch of different levels
That was awesome. Ghost Riders in the Sky was one of my grandmother’s favorite songs.

Clark replied - I don't know, you'll have to ask Glen Campbell.
Here is another interesting Vanessa Mae video.
Really sucks now he has to be talked about is the past tense.
Ennio Morricone rocks
That was so fun they could not always keep a straight face.
And I still think that Clint Eastwood should be the debate moderator.
I have been a Glen Campbell since I was a wee lass, but I did not know about the pipes. Thank you so much for pinging! That was delightful!
Wow! Brought tears to my eyes.
