1920 - Douglas Fairbanks, Sr.
I was claiming my baggage at Baggage Claim 4 when a panic developed. A bunch of people left the door area and threw themselves on the floor behind the pillar where I was standing. When I figured out what was happening, I refused to hit the ground. I was not going to get shot cowering on the ground. There were a few others like me.
Eventually everyone got up. Police with guns out told us to evacuate the room. This put us outside right next to Zorro, who looked harmless. I tried to leave the area but we were told to go back inside. Armed police ran through the room looking for a gunman. We were then told to leave. I walked down to the hotel shuttle area to find all traffic through the terminals had stopped. I ended up walking over a mile to my hotel. Traffic was backed up in all directions.
The airport police did their job. What worries me were the panicked actions of most of the public.
