A bit of arithmetic here:
$3,000,000 / 3 days / 813 screens = $1230/day/screen
At $8 per ticket that is 153 tickets per day per screen. It cost $1.5M to make. Not too shabby, but certainly not very successful.
With a 1.5 M price tag, this isn’t a movie, its an film student project.
A $3 million opening weekend for a movie that cost $1.5 million to make? I’m sure Hollywood would love it if all their movies were that unsuccessful.
