Good Evening all, Summer still in full swing here...
It’s an odd, new style of lineup tonight...the The Hinds Honey and Almond Cream Program looks interesting...but getting serious early with fast paced, intellectual comedy at the end? We’ll see how it goes...You Bet Your Life isn’t exactly what I’m looking forward to drifting off to, too much focus needed. We’ll see.
How’s it all going?

It was a very hard-working Saturday, and today’s been normal.

This was in 1940 when FDR was running for Dictator/third term, and the Republicans nominated an unknown named Wendell Willkie. Gracie added some needed levity.

Very hard, hot work. We did two yards in the heat. That took us three hours. Then I had to clean a building with minimal air conditioning, and that took me three hours, too. I sweated like crazy and was drained yesterday evening.
No new rice stories. I learned that brown rice takes about three times as long to cook as white rice, though. I think it has a much better flavor.

You haven't mentioned it so I thought you weren't doing landscaping anymore.
Last night I did the recipe below. Tonight I tried a seasoned box rice. Worked well. Love the timer. Just put your brown rice on a timer.

We still have a limited number of yard jobs, just a few, and we also still do irrigation system repair from time to time.
On the timer, does that mean you can set it for how long you want it to cook? I haven’t studied through the instruction that far.
We’re tuned in for Gunsmoke now.

You program the timer for when you want the rice done (up to 12hrs ahead I believe). When I finish lunch I’ll set it up.

Oh, so it’s a delay timer, not a timer-timer. I get it.

This definitely should have been the last show. The audio is so bad it needs close attention.
