That’s what I was thinking. Dead worms are believable, almost. A worm that survives being deep frozen and then cooked? Sounds like 99% of reported race incidents - faked for the money.
They've been experimenting with fresh meat at a few locations to see if they can make it work. (14 locations around DFW - I think I got one down in Richardson last spring. Flavor and texture were different from the usual. No worms (that I noticed) though.)
Unless it was put in there by an employee, at the same time they put it on the bun.
Depending on exactly which burger they ordered, it could also have been hiding in the lettuce.

correct. it might have been in the garnish, or planted in there by employees or the cutomers.
Not only that. No worm is going to CRAWL out of a grilled burger, unless he was wearing a fire suit. Sounds like a con job. Here’s a possibility: “Hey, if we “find” worms at different locations it’ll really make ‘em look bad. And it’ll help bolster each of our stories, too.”

I don’t either. The Obama economy has made it almost impossible to earn a living on one income so the grifters are coming out of the woodwork. I expect Ms. Stephens had a few worms in a bottle in her purse before she walked into that McDonald....
