I guess employment prospects in Baltimore just tanked.

Education has many purposes, one of which is to provide an educated workforce that can compete in a global market. Baltimore has just made education more about people's feeling than their ability to work cooperatively and perform given assignments.

No wonder most manufacturing jobs are sent overseas.

This has been going on for a long time in other cities, like NYC. The biology course, for example, was dumbed down to a "Living Environment" course, which is basically a survey of 3 or 4 main areas, ignoring a lot of important and interesting biological topics. No wonder a lot of our "graduates" have to take remedial biology as college freshmen. This year, the Alzheimer's poster child schools chancellor, undoubtedly just passing along the latest Commie crap from the imbecile mayor, has decreed that history courses will now incorporate a lot of "social justice" garbage and represent it as legitimate history. No more Teapot Dome affair, no more Industrial Revolution---now it will be Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and other black-oriented slants on history. This will really prepare students for a life beyond the ghetto and NYC, right? These people should be jailed for their agenda-first, welfare of kids second machinations.
