Giorgio mushrooms briefly were sourced from China. They saw such a crash in sales they immediately went back to USA product.

A couple of years ago, food companies were importing pine nuts from China to fill a shortage.

Different type of pine, affecting some portion of the population with "pine nut mouth", where just about everything tasted metallic, typically lasting days or a couple of weeks for most, to months for the less fortunate.

I’ve read that most of our supermarkets carry fresh (? - ha!) garlic, from China. :(

I never buy food from China. Or SE Asia. No country of origin - I pass. I cook at home a lot. Afraid of what they may serve, and who might be preparing it.
