In my 1997 4-runner I have replaced 2 starters and 2 batteries. The starter is too close to the exhaust manifold. I may fashion a heat shield and get another 200k miles.

My 4Runner's A/C went out. I thought it was going to be a major repair, but I went to a 4Runner web site and found out I only needed to replace a relay.

Stupid tiny piece of metal and plastic cost me $100, but at least it wasn't the hundreds I expected to have to fork over to get the A/C system leak tested and repaired.
