She has been working an almost double shift since she started back in January, but she's salaried. Her boss wanted her to change her work to make him look better to an inappropriate level, and is threatening her as not completing the work.
This would become an involuntary separation.

Still, you say:

So, she may very well have a case that puts them in some jeopardy and she should inform them.
“At Will” isn’t some blanket immunity.
