As long as you do something positive for the left, they’ll give you a pass on any prior criminal misdeeds.

Actually, it seems they'll give you a pass on pretty much anything.
The party that supposedly ‘supports’ women is responsible for:
1. Defending Bill Clinton in the context of sex with an intern in the White House next to the oval office.
2. Attempting to destroy the reputations and credibility of any woman who dared accuse Clinton of anything - including rape.
3. Ignoring Clinton's multiple trips with Jeffrey Epstein who was convicted of sex with underage girls, including solicitation of girls as young as 14yo for prostitution. He was also accused of using a 17yo as a sex slave he used for his ‘friends’. Clinton was on Epstein's private jet, and on his private ‘sex island’ multiple times.
4. Ignoring Islamic suppression and abuse of women.
5. Attempting to destroy the credibility of any woman who isn't liberal (witness Sarah Palin).
6. Defending Ted Kennedy and making him one of their longest serving senators, honoring him to this day as a great hero - despite the fact that he was responsible for the drowning death of a young woman he was with while he was married - driving off a bridge, saving himself, but not reporting the accident that led to her death until the next morning at 8am (evidence reportedly showing she may have lived for another 2 hours after the car entered the water).
