NOTE: As unseemly as 4 chan may be, it is one source that is specifically designed to keep posts fully anonymous. Other blogs have stored data that could allow translation to a poster & thus “out” linking information if hacked by a governmental cyber entity.
Choosing 4 chan to “get information out” accomplishes a major goal to protect the source from retribution. Certainly, information such as this subject/story, would give great pause to anyone who values their well being.
As to my background, I’ve designed breakthrough architecture for massively parallel supercomputer systems that have ended up in classified groups. If posters would like to engage in a real discussion, please do. Uncharitable posting should not be the culture of FR.

In this paper we analyze one such large-scale, anonymous, and ephemeral community: the imageboard website 4chan. We focus on 4chans first and most popular board, the random board known as /b/. Our goal is to use /b/ as a lens to understand the concepts of anonymity and ephemerality online.
