That really is sad.

When I was a civil servant, I once knocked on the door of an apartment and a 2 or 3 year old answered. He was holding a maybe 8 month old baby.

He told me that his Mother was at someone’s house and of course I had no idea who that was. It was actually a bit touching as the little kid, not much more than a baby himself was really trying to care for the baby.

I went to the manager of the Government apartments and reported it. The manager who was also Black said he would report it but nothing would be done.

Ugwuh said his children and their cousins live with their mothers in the home at 58th and College Avenue, where the shooting occurred. It was one place he said he didn't worry about anything happening to his family.
