So, I got so sick of hearing it’s use in interviews, I actually checked the internet about it’s use.

So, the internet said:

“So, the use of “So” developed as a conversational pause to replace “Uh” and also to make the following statement seem that it was the result of thoughtful reflection.

I guess we are lucky Obama has not adopted it’s use. His remarks would be “So..So....So...So...” instead of “Uh...Uh...Uh....Uh...”
