My mother used her index finger soaked in Jack Daniels. That explains an awful lot.
My mother used cloves for teething and toothache, but we got the good stuff mixed with honey when we had a cough.
I should have developed a cough more often. Mea culpa.
She handed it down and I used it on my three children when they had a cough. Worked better than cough syrup!
I still use it if I get a cough! :>) LOL
