The wording of the law only forces them to feed their children in a nutritious way. They can still feed them a vegan diet, as long as it's a properly balanced and healthy one.

It's kind of a redundant law though, since I'm sure if the parents fed them an improper diet and the child suffered, that would already be covered by the standard child neglect laws.
