Are the French Jews asked to put up these refugees too?

French Jews simply couldn't believe what they were hearing in the mid-to-late 1930's and they paid a heavy price for their disbelief.But they haven't made the same mistake twice...Jews are fleeing France (Europe,actually) by the tens of thousands.

French Jewish citizens actually had a fairly high survival rate during the Holocaust. The French to the best of their ability tried to treat them as any other French citizen.
The problem was over the years a lot of Jews had fled to France from other European countries, and Vichy was more than happy to let the Germans take the "stateless" Jews off of their hands.
