I forget where I read it, I'm a retired PS teacher so I saw a ton of this sort of chit, but this "gap year" is pretty dicey stuff.
In the neighborhood of 55% of all students taking a "gap year" immediately after H.S. never return to school.
This could easily be an obama smokescreen to cover his last year in office with his older daughter on the loose.

Bet you’re wrong about that one. She’ll turn up at Harvard in person initially, come and go from Cambridge as she please for four years, and be given As merely for being registered as a student. Since she’ll never be expected to do any real work, there’s no reason she’d do anything as dramatic as not enroll or drop out after enrolling.
