Has anyone else received weird calls from a place called MapSupport? It starts with a recorded intro that say many people have flagged your business address as inaccurate, to correct the info press a number to talk to an associate..."
I tried to get some info out of someone who identified himself as Aaron, but he became very testy when I would not cooperate with his line of questioning.
I have been called several times by this company, I ask them to stop calling, my info is correct on Google and Google maps, so I'm not sure what they are up to.
I like to play with ‘em, too, and keep them on the line as long as possible. I figure if they’re talking to me they’re not messing with some pitiful elderly person who easily could fall for the scam.
My 90 year old mother keeps getting those threatening IRS calls.
I wish I was there when she gets called since I want to act gullible
and then try to arrange a direct meeting so that I can pay them in person.
We get those almost every day. I piss them off by either telling them I have no computer, tell them my windows on my house don’t need cleaning, or that computers are evil, though the one that really pisses them off is pretending to be deaf until they’re shouting into the phone.
Sounds like Nigerians or Russian mafia.
