It’s a “depends on what you mean.”
If it means official policies that are blind to that kind of thing going on in a private life, that has been the case for a long, long time. Even most evangelically minded Christians would agree, when mere secular business is at stake and the “do not be unequally yoked” provision does not apply. If you never let a sinner get near you on bare principle, God can’t let your manner of living witness to that sinner (and yes, a true faithful Christian will live a more visibly attractive life than will a coarse libertine).
If it means special recognition, this is growing, in part due to the burgeoning lies about what such a relationship means.
The LGBT movement is an obvious effort to destroy the family, no different from the proclaimed nobility of single parenthood, or abortion. A functioning economically and emotionally viable nuclear family has no need for the government, and therin lies the agenda.
