In the good old days, we used to condemn the Soviet Union and Eastern Bloc when they entered women who had been turned into men with massive steroid injections into the Olympics and other sporting events. Now we celebrate it. The Soviets were stupid. They should have just entered men in the women’s events and claimed that the men gender-identified as women.
Kind of makes us look hypocritical for going after the Russians for doping. At least they’re not trying to change the sex of their athletes.
