My daughter does similar running stuff and thinks I’m crazy for telling her to have a gun.
At least she has a 120 pound dog with her most of the time.
My granddaughter is a runner-—and in some fairly isolated areas.
I just put her in God’s hands.

I live fairly close to Princeton.
There's been decades of habla espanols that have infiltrated the area to the north and south of Princeton, but the town is sparsely populated when compared to surrounding towns/cities.
My guess is someone did a roadtrip to find a victim.

Princeton is a lovely town. I can imagine that this poor girl felt perfectly safe there.

This could be another Chandra Levy (in terms of the crime), which I think is still not solved.
How horrible. Major condolences to the family. How or why this could happen is beyond belief. I grew up in this area and can report that Princeton is a lovely, picture post card, small town. I know that a lot of New England towns are being heavily impacted by drugs. It is no wonder that polls report that our nation is not moving in the right direction. Shame on all of us citizens for letting this happen.
She was from NYC so if she was not one of Bloomberg’s private militia, the NY Governor’s private guard, etc. she would not be able to possess a gun and probably any type of effective pepper spray. Probably the best she could do legally was to run with a gang of 5 - 6 others and carry big sticks.

It probably isn’t the same perpetrator, the perp would have to travel, this happened in Massachusetts but something to bear in mind.
This was “Liberal-on-Liberal” crime, not to be highlighted or talked about in polite circles.
It’s not unusual for serial killers to cruise around, looking for a vulnerable victim.
Why do we have to go to British newspapers for this kind of news?

Doesn’t fit the MO of terrorists. Looks more like a serial killer or racially-motivated hate crime. Either way, horrible news and I pray for her family.

She was born and raised not far from where she was murdered.
