Police chiefs are struggling to implement a plan to put an anti-terror squad of 600 Robocops on patrol in London.
So far, just 80 have been deployed and the Met admits it is finding it hard to recruit armed officers due to fears that they could face prosecution for firing their weapons.
Sources say many potential recruits have been put off by the case of Jermaine Baker, 28, who was shot by police last year as he sat in a stolen black Audi in north London.
The officer who opened fire was later arrested and faced a criminal homicide investigation from the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
Rank and file Met officers were said to be shocked by his arrest.
A senior source in the Met Police Federation said: My colleagues will not sign up. Why would they?"
They have to make a life-or-death decision in seconds, and their career is down the pan.
Met Commissioner Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe promised last January to put 600 masked Hercules cops on the streets.
A Met spokesman said the force was happy with recruitment, adding: We are more than satisfied with the quantity and quality of applications received."
This how a country dies.
Honestly, who in the hell would want to be in law enforcement in the UK? The country is overrun with young Islamists and the populace is defenseless.
Hey America! Are you listening?
And under the Reign of the Hildebeast, who would sign up for being a cop over here? Obama and the Injustice Department already hate the cops.
If people fear an attorney attack, they’ll stay indoors.
One can not teach a dog to attack then beat him for doing so, or they well not be an attack dog for long.
Stupid has bad consequences ... real stupid has really bad consequences .... but they probably won’t get it!
Statistics show that criminals commit less crime after they’ve been shot.
