Mitt Romney, George Bush 41 and George Bush 43, as well as other mainstream Republican party figures, are set to endorse Libertarian Presidential Candidate Gary Johnson next week, say sources within the "Never Trump" movement and other disaffected Republicans.
Johnson, the former Republican governor of New Mexico, is known for having balanced the budget during his 8 year tenure. The Libertarian's Vice presidential running mate is also a former Republican governor, William Weld of Massachusetts.

I suspect they are just floating all this out there to make a point, but won’t actually do it. They might not endorse Trump, but I’d be shocked if they actually worked for Johnson. We’ll see though, at this point I’ve given up ruling ANYTHING out in 2016.

They are not “FOR” Johnson...a goofy pothead. Johnson has NOTHING in common with them. This a an act of hate-filled revenge against a guy who beat them and their ego-driven, petty use of power. To them, the survival of the party is irrelevant as long as they get to be the self-righteous jerks that they are.

Oh, I quite agree; I even wrote a paper on a very public act of treason, the Iran deal, and prove how it is literally hanged-by-the-neck-until-dead as-defined-by-the-constitution Treason.
Gary Johnson was a good governor. Fiscally conservative. But he is not going to be president. He may get 15% and be in the debates, but he WILL never be president. Never.

Johnson really isn’t “known for balancing the budget”. He’s known for being a big fan of smoking the weed.
He is a statist who believes in compulsion over freedom of religion and association. I have navel lint that is more libertarian than Gary Johnson. This is the most depressing election of my lifetime, but Johnson is not a viable solution.
Trump, at this point does not want, those GOPe globalist hacks endorsements. This is good news.
