In my opinion the Olympics have out served their purpose and are a waste of time, effort, and money. This Olympics just puts a big fat exclamation point on it.

They lost me when the focus became athlete's personal sob stories instead of the competition.

Add to that the time when our ‘72 basketball team was screwed out of gold by corrupt officiating plus seeing all of the Soviet and east German female athletes with masculine figures and goatees and nothing being done about it.
