-There are two options to closing your facebook account.

1) You can deactivate it. Which means you can reactivate it at any time and everything is still in place. All of your pictures saved and friends and posts are still there!

or

2) You can delete your face book account. After doing a log procedure you must not try to log back in for 2 weeks. Your page will still be deleted with all of its pictures and friends lists and everything. If you ever want to have a facebook page again then you will have to start all over... NOTE: Be aware that Facebook may still retain information from your account in their databases (they have been unclear about whether they do this). Even though it may never be given out in public, authorities can ask for this information.
