Buffett helped Obama, too..... "complaining" that his secretary paid a higher tax rate than he did. He mysteriously shut up when people pointed out how much his secretary would have to make in order for that to be true.
I always wondered why he did that. When Obama shut down the Keystone pipeline, I had my answer. Buffet/Berkshire owns BNSF: the railroad that ships oil from the Bakken shale to refineries around the country. With a pipeline directly to Texas refineries, he would lose a lot of business.
Buffett's Netjet subsidiary also owed about a half-billion in taxes at the time. He finally prevailed: a US district court judge said the IRS had to honor the guidance they provided back in 1992:

So, yes -- he wouldn't be doing this for Hillary without getting something in return.

His may show little or no income.
He might be cared for by the corporation, as a business expense.
