Lots of odd stuff not for casual or radio friendly listener stuff. For example - this is in there.

“Corrosion in the Pink Room” is a song written by Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Rick Wright, and Nick Mason. It is an instrumental piece that was played at their live shows during the early 1970s. It is a very avant-garde piece, with eerie piano playing by Wright and scatting by Waters, reminiscent of the sounds on Several Species of Small Furry Animals Gathered Together in a Cave and Grooving with a Pict. Halfway through, the song transitions to a jazzy blues jam, similar to Funky Dung. It also was known to feature the “whalesong effect”, used during live performances of “Embryo” and, later on, “Echoes”.

All of APP’s recordings are of the same standard as Donald Fagan (Steelye Dan); clean, clear and musical. They are worked and, then, worked over again to get the CLEANEST sound from every instrument.

Not that I don’t respect Eddie Van Halen’s work but, late-night listening and a glass of vino-tinto? The standard should be APP and Fagen.

Have y’all heard “Sunken Condo’s” yet. Great grooves (and, no, I don’t work for Fagen or his company).

I’ve got a copy of The Piper at the Gates of Dawn. Haven’t listened to it in years. Interesting period piece, but I could never get into it. Later stuff is more to my taste.

Some really interesting stuff but nearly EVERY disc has “Saucerful of Secrets”, “Set the Controls to the Heart of the Sun” and “Careful With That Axe Eugene”.. Also “Atom Heart Mother” several times.

Those are fine for one listen, but sheesh! Practically every disc!

No, I haven’t heard it yet. I’ll check it out, thanks.

Obscured by Clouds is one of my favourite Floyd albums.
