I was an air traffic controller at Zweibrucken in the early ‘80. Canadian F-104s would participate in aerial attacks during base Salty Nation exercises. Was a blast sitting in the tower and looking down at the F-104s fly their attacks.
Those were the best days, were they not.
Flying A-10s in Low Fly 7, getting bounced all the time. Loved it.
