I can recall telling a door-to-door salesman decades ago that I would consider subscribing to the cable TV network he was pitching if it included Fox News. They didn't at the time and I said "no thanks". Fast forward two decades and I have stopped watching Fox News altogether. Years ago it was Weekly Standard-ish conservative, i.e., Iran, Iran, Iran. Russia, Russia, Russia... While I've always been a paleo-con (my traditional Catholic worldview), I still viewed mainstream conservatism as my ally. But in the last decade, the last few years especially, I see that the neo-con globalist view of the world not only antithetical to my traditional one, which values traditional Western Christian society, but hostile to it. Trump's candidacy has exposed this like nothing else and has made this crystal clear to many. As I see Europe fall into an Islamist 'Camp of the Saints' thousand years of darkness due to eschewing of its Christian roots for globalism*, with America not far behind, I feel embarrassed by my naïve convictions and "conservative" proselytizing years ago, when I'd spout the kind of BS you hear from Paul Ryan or David Brooks. That America is an idea. Conservatism is an idea. Let's not build walls, let's lower corporate tax rates and quintuple H1B visas to capture what it truly means to be American. This country and Western civilization emerged out of the institutions and values of Christian tradition. Universities were a product of Christendom and now ironically, sadly, they have become the greatest enemy of Christianity. America and Western civilization was built on tradition, which is, to quote Chesterton, "the democracy of the dead".

Anyway, I have pretty much turned off the TV, especially FOX News after its #NeverTrump phase and glorification of Megyn [sic] Kelly. Now FOX News is a schizophrenic mess, jumping from HuffPo-ish crap to National Review-ish crap to a smattering of good fluff.

Carl Cameron, Shep Smith, Chris Wallace, Juan Williams, Geraldo, Megyn, et al., either were never conservative or have lost it.

Even Brit Hume seems to be losing it most of the time.

This is not new. Cameron has been snarling on Trump for months. Fox has been turning left for a year at least.

I don’t know if that is a change, they have been hyper critical of Trump since before his nomination.

Fux News decided to deny their successful business model, and go the way of MSNBC.

I remember the history of MSNBC. For a little while in the 1990’s, it wasn’t too bad. They were one of the biggest Bill-Clinton-Scandal channels out there.

Then they went superleft.

Look for the same to occur with Fux. The drift has been going on for about 3 years.
