Mel Gibson is nuts but he's a hell of a director. Desmond Doss was a Seventh Day Adventist conscientious objector in WWII to who was awarded the Medal of Honor for rescuing 75 casualties despite refusing to carry a weapon.
Damn! Braveheart is my favorite movie.
I think it’s got competition! I’ll go to the theater for this one!!!! I went all girl and got major teary eyed during the dang trailer.
Mel Gibson is one of my favorite actors. All that tabloid junk has NEVER bothered me. Like me, he’s no angel but I still like the man.
What an honor to know such a man. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom and these men had it in spades. To think that American children are now taught that bravery is a man wearing a dress is beyond comprehension. Mel may be a crazy apostate, but he knows how to make a great American film.
Wow so you knew him! I just watched an oral history from the man himself on YouTube. Must have been something else to hear that in person.
How is Gibson “nuts”? Just because he said some dumb things while drunk? Hardly the first. It’s ridiculous what this genius has been put through.
Read the whole story and really feel small and insignificant.

If “winner” was good enough for George , it’s good enough for me.
A lot of people argue that a person is a “winner” only in the lottery or a game of pure chance. Of course, that’s preposterous. A man wins a fight. A man wins a fair lady. A nation wins a war.
George Bailey.
Finally, a movie for adults. Not a superhero costume in sight (unless you count Army green). I guess I’ll slouch out of my cave come November—hopefully amidst the glow of a recent Trump victory.
