I didn’t know bottle deposits were still around. They have deposits on plastic bottles?

I live right across the border from Michigan, Junkies are always collecting bottles and cans and taking them to the grocery store right across the border and cashing them in for dope money.

Re: Deposits on plastic bottles and cans. Here in Michigan we do have a ten cent deposit on plastic bottles and cans, but I must say that the law very definitely cleaned up the streets and highways of thoughtlessly and contemptuously thrown away bottles and cans. It is virtually the only law I've ever seen passed that actually did what it's sponsor's said it would. I go so far as to rinse every bottle and can I get because of the mess and possible insect infestation.

This was supposed to be a Green-thing. Many states and even local communities have put a “deposit” on items ranging from plastic bags to bottles and cans. In reality it is a tax since most people throw them away. Like everything the Left does it is a money-grabbing scheme.
