I’d like to see as much expensive care given to children, veterans, and the aged.

Hmm. I wonder why the beak can’t be fixed better than that. Is the beak formed of keratin, like horns?

I had a neighbor who was part of a oppossum rescue. Unbelievable.

Correct. Pigeons spread Cryptococcus species, One woman in New Brunswick lost her sight because of it. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/new-brunswick/blind-woman-warns-of-pigeon-poop-exposure-danger-1.1263247.

It’s a rat with wings...
............................

Far from true.
I’ve saved two pigeons that had hurt wings and couldn’t fly. Didn’t know what to expect when I approached the first but they are the living definition of docile. Pigeons weigh next to nothing. They tuck their head into their feathers and go completely still once in your hands as though just begging you not to hurt them.

Somehow I don’t think a rat would react the same way. Rats do things like get in front of large crowds and say, “Vote your conscience”.

My Uncle had a pigeon coupe on his farm. He loved those birds so much. He passed on and the family placed the birds with other pigeon fanciers.
