Refreshing to hear some straight talk for a change instead of the usual slick PC pandering and palaver. What a breath of fresh air Trump is!

I think the country is sick and tired of professional political blowhards who talk forever and do nothing.

I had dinner with three ladies Friday night and two of them said they were convinced to vote Trump by that speech.

Trump took it to Them!
All I could say the next day,

“I’m tired of WINNING!”

LAW AND ORDER.

I enjoyed the speech very much. My only request would have been for Mr. Trump to say that he would hold trading partners accountable for cheating and discourage American companies for tax schemes like corporate inversion by lowering the corporate tax rates. But the speech was magnificent overall in the contrast to the lawlessness that we would see in a Cankles admin.

All my life I have heard people say that they are tired of being by governed by politicians and lawyers. They are tired of the pandering. They are tired of them being politically correct, tired of them always trying to cover both sides of the fence. Trump is none of those things. Trump is blunt. I think that we need blunt.

Absolutely. Trump could have hired a conventional speechwriter who could have written some lovely Hallmark sentiments, but it wouldn't be Trump.

I think it was on Rushs show where I heard a female caller saying that she would not vote for Trump because his speech wasn’t directed at her. I believe she was a Cruz supporter. She said that because Trump didn’t SAY things like, “smaller government, repeal obamacare, stop abortions, Constitutional Conservative, etc”, that she could not bring herself to consider him.

It’s that purity test. Platitudes = purity you see. Politician after politician stand on a stage and promise purity, and a certain segment are mesmerized into profound trust of these professionals. They never need to see results, they are fine and happy being sung to. BELIEVING in those promises is how that segment actively participates. Once they have decided to believe they do not need to see the promises actually carried out. In their minds the words are the deeds.

Trump doesn’t sing, he thunders. Giving up on a suitor who sings pretty words to win you for a plain speaking man who tells you truths that frighten you is a thing some people will choose not to do.

The only thing the political class has accomplished in the last thirty years is to grow government and their bank accounts. They have not done a damn thing for Americans.
