Anyone surprised Cruz didn't endorse Trump?
Not me.
Parties? Rumor was that he wanted to run for office in his home country of Canada.
If Trump loses, you’ll be just where the Dems want you to be.
I’ll still be supporting politicians with conservative voting records, without regard to petty politics.
I’m voting Trump, but I realize the importance of ideas over individual candidates.
So good luck with your strategy, newbie :)
If Trump loses, we will have scumbag punk ass b-----s like Ted Cruz to thank for it.
To my knowledge there was no media-inspired litmus test applied during that election, no reactionary paper pledge.
Now many of you think the sky is falling because of semantic nuances. Do you think Trump would have allowed Ted to speak if he were so anti-Trump as you imagine? All the speeches are vetted — you are falling into a media trap.
What a fool! The smart play would have been for Cruz to make a joke or two about being on the receiving end of Trump broadsides, then turn serious and say that we are adults and put aside personal disappointments, hurt feelings, and bruised egos for the sake of the party and the country. A rousing, unqualified endorsement of Trump would then position Cruz as a major GOP political figure who could appeal to traditional conservatives and Trump insurgents. Now Cruz is a marked as a charmless sore loser.
But the fact that Ted Cruz refused to lend his voice to Party unity speaks volumes about his selfishness, egotism, and overall unsuitability for the office of President of the United States.
Ted Cruz's political career, at least in the GOP, is over.
Vote Trump!
You and other insecure FRiends appear appear to believe Trump can't win without Ted's hyper-explicit support, inspired by a leftist media that convinced you it was a necessary condition of a Trump victory.
As for me, I'm an optimist. GO TRUMP!

Only in Cruztown can “I endorse the nominee of my party” be “hyper explicit support”.
Judging by “best friend” Mike Lee’s public tantrums, Cruz seems to think he can hide behind Heidi’s skirt and get a do-over in the next election cycle.
"I'm not demoralized at all, because Donald Trump will win without the help of Ted Cruz or his fanboys."
I'm a fan of conservatism, forget the personalities. Nonetheless I support Trump, and not just because he happens to be the nominee. I'm voting for him because I have come to think there's a good chance he will govern as a conservative, despite his past positions.
There is no conflict between supporting them both. One is in the senate, and one is going to be the president. I am confident they will work together to promote conservatism.
To be consistent you'd have to also say that about Reagan/Ford 1976.
Trump just has a way of bringing out the real personality in people. Gonna be amazing to see what he does to Hillary.
The only rational reason Trump would have to nominate Cruz to the SC would be to be rid of him.
Trump clearly loves this country. Even though it would be expedient for him to save himself the bother of having to slap down Cruz again for the nomination in 2020, he would never risk this deranged worm on the highest court in the land.
I disagree with everything you wrote, but, don’t care to discuss it. Ted wanted to speak, and Trump was gracious enought to allow him. Move on!
I was hoping he would endorse and shocked when he didn’t.
Trump saw the speech two hours early, let him speak anyway, it was not a precondition, says it's no big deal.
Get over it, move on, I agree.
He could not get appointed to be Capitol latrine janitor right now. He self immolated tonight.
Cruz had the opportunity to play big on the big stage. And he choked, and shrank.
Not surprised at all, and while he did break the pledge around it, think a bigger deal is being made out of this than it really is.
It was also insanely disrespectful of the crowd to be shouting at Cruz during his speech, they literally drown out his mention of the child of police officer gunned down in TX.
Cruz only hurt Cruz tonight, which is why, I guess, I am not really worked up over whether he endorsed Trump or not. I don’t think his lack of endorsement will have any negative impact on the general election... and other than political junkies don’t think most of the electorate really cares.
