I saw video on YouTube about steak sold in restaurants. The meat is processed and held together with what they called meat glue, then it is formed into the steaks. We went out the other night to a popular chain and I ordered a steak. When I cut into it wondered if it was a meat glue product because the grain was much different from the steaks we get from the guy we buy 1/2 a cow from.
Thank you. That explains it better than any other explanation I ever heard. You are chewing and you . . . hope this is not too disgusting . . . finally get to something that can’t be chewed up. That must be the glue.
Attempting to back up your thoughts on “meat glued” steaks.
A large chain opened near us. Always packed, not cheap either.
I always ordered the filet. It always, 100% of the time looked the same. Size, shape etc.. I started asking the wife, “does this seem odd?”.
Even at the store no two look the same.
Then I watched that report on “meat glue”. Figured w/o question I had my answer! Haven’t been back.
As for organic produce, please, the stores are overloaded with the “reported” stuff. Simply not possible, so we knew it had to be a scam.
