I can see letting the EMTs come in for a check, but can the cops come in like that unless you invite them? I sure do not want them in my house for any reason, ever................


I had to report my son as missing the other day. The 911 folks and the police were extremely competent and professional. I invited the police readily into my home at 3:30am. It was a mess because we’re in the middle of painting the family room. Fortunately he is OK. ‘Nother story, ‘Nother time.

But my point is that when you really need them, you’ll invite them in in a heartbeat, and give them all sorts of information, to boot. And if everything is on the up and up they probably won’t pry unnecessarily.

My hat is off to the Baltimore County Police Department and 911.

You have far more trust in cops than I do. Best not have anything in view that catches their interest, however unrelated.
