Sorry your mom fell, and glad she is recovering.
I ended up in the ER last week with an injury and the nurse asked me if I felt safe at home right in front of my husband. It made me laugh. He is a big joker so it was a good thing he didn’t make a funny remark about causing my accident.
With all the elder abuse going on these days, the questioning was probably routine. I would just let it go. Sorry you had to go through that.
It happened to me at the E.R. Right in front of me they asked my husband if I abused him at home. (He’s 240+ and if he fell on me I’d die!!!) The swine said, “all the time”. Sigh.
