Not according to one of those shows I watched on the Geography channel a while back. They are resistant to chemicals. They showed using a gas powered turbo heater and a bunch of duct work (larger version of a dryer vent hose) which they run into your house and bring the temp to about 115 degrees. I have heard the exterminators charge about $6,000 for this. I hope I never have to find out. Any time I have to stay in a hotel I check carefully! I’ve heard they are everywhere now.
I've been living in the same house since 1956just 15 miles from the Maine borderand we've got bedbugs here. (Small welts).
We brought some travelers home from a Hilton in Cincinnati. I got rid of them using Diatomaceous Earth. Just sprinkle it around and on your bed. It gets in their exoskeleton and grinds them up. Harmless to us smooth skinned mouth breathers. :)
