I haven't seen anything on FR about this since earlier in the evening. Everything's been about the Nice attack.
It was nothing more than smoke from fireworks, no more no less.
French police said a fireworks “accident.” Yet an ISIS Twitter account was showing a photo of it just 15 minutes later, next to the Nice footage.
Fire near Eiffel Tower put out, not linked to Nice attack

The official story is that it was just a fireworks truck that exploded due to “technical” reasons.
And that may well be so.
But, 1) I don’t believe the French (or our) government would say otherwise, if it WAS a terror incident; and
2) I didn’t see any fireworks, per se, from the exploding truck (no wayward skyrockets, no bursts of color in the air, etc.).
So, it PROBABLY was just a fireworks explosion (such things do happen). But I am not discarding my tin foil hat just because Paris says so.
Appears that it was unrelated. Truck with fireworks went boom.
We shall see.
Just like two cars that spontaneously exploded in Brussels yesterday. Must be the center fuel tanks.
Like Detectives say, “Never believe a coincidence”.
The tower is made of iron. It takes a lot of heat before it starts to burn. ; )
mirror had it covered. truck on the d’lena bridge caught fire and was put out. not much else.
A “technical incident” that just happened to occur on Bastille Day, at the world’s most recognizable landmark, three weeks after an explicit ISIS video showing the tower falling, and coincident with a simultaneous Muslim terror spectacular also in France, and by an enemy known for simultaneous attacks.
You owe me a new keyboard.
