The factions are different, humans vs. androids with the Atom folks thrown in, and the swamp creatures can mod the heck out of you if you’re not careful. Also, Longfellow is a companion and is a decent one. I was hoping that during E3 We’d get a independent spin-off like New Vegas for Fallout 3, but no deal.
The survival mode is no joke either. It makes the play of the game very cautious, with a lot of fleeing and sneaking and a necessity to know where you are and where the closest save bed is. Also, medical supplies and even dirty water that you would have tossed in regular mode becomes quite valuable.
I love red dead redemption as well, what a beautiful game, except for when you hear a cougar about to claw your horse .
I bought Farharbor, got across the ocean to it and after I helped fight the first monsters I couldn’t see me pipboy because of the invisibility armor. I can’t take it off because I can’t see my inventory.
Oh man, I almost forgot what a plague the cougars are in the Rio Bravo area. Head on a swivel at all times. I spend as little time as possible there, unless I’m hunting cougar. One bastid killed my War Horse in about half a second.
