Too much anti-Trumping on thread. |

Before heading to Cleveland to accept the Republican nomination for president, Donald Trump paid a high-profile visit to Capitol Hill, where he hoped to unify congressional Republicans behind his presidential campaign.
Trumps next stop was a private meeting with Sen. Ted Cruz, who inappropriately brought his campaign manager, Jeff Roe, to the meeting. Two months after suspending his campaign, why does Cruz still utilize a high-priced campaign manager to join high-level discussions with the presumptive nominee?
The answer is that Cruz never stopped running for president [].
Cruzs delays in endorsing Trump and his disloyal preparations to run for president in 2020 help only one person: Hillary Clinton, which is what some Republican mega-donors actually prefer, because they are globalists who oppose Trumps stances against immigration and free trade.
The globalists will never accept Trump or anyone else who puts Americans first, and they are using Cruz to undermine Trumps campaign.

I already backed down on that point...
Lives in your head, also...see post #13....
Sometimes it pays to read the whole article. The above quotation demonstrates how wrong Phyllis Schlafly is about Ted Cruz and how wrong she is about an Article V convention of states. It also demonstrates how wrong she is about Eric O'Keefe and how desperate she is as she resorts to drive-by smears. No wonder her children and her close associates attempted save their political organization from a woman who has grown very old and erratic.
If Donald Trump is not elected, or if elected and disappoints, we will have no place to go but to a convention of the states. Meanwhile, the idea is to get Trump elected and a lot of posters on this thread are making it more difficult every time they get off with gratuitous anti-Cruz insults which are, as usual, factually flawed.
Why is he still using a campaign manager?
If his name is placed in nomination then he should have a speaking slot.
Well said, and I agree. However, there has continued to be much turmoil among those loyal to him. And enough Trump delegates are like this oaf who filed the lawsuit (i.e.-Cruz plants) that it is toxic going into the convention.
Cruz could end this swirl, but seems to relish it. All while conservatives tear down each other.
Low self esteem. Can’t talk with Trump alone. Need big Daddy next to him.
Didn't you just post, in Post 21 above, the following?
Because it is traditional to give the second person/runner up in the primaries, no matter how far behind, a speaking position at the Convention,
You say that Trump isn't a traditional politician, but his actions are that of a traditional politician?
Just help me learn the politically correct way of understanding this is. Is Trump a non-traditional politician that occasionally acts in a traditional way or his he not traditional at all? Or does that conflict with your statement in Post 29:
Donald Trump Sr. is a VERY "traditional" and old fashioned man.
Just trying to have the correct thoughts and words about Donald Trump, I don't want to be politically incorrect.
WND, gotta be true!
I prefer to take the high road on all this. Cruz will probably endorse Trump in his speech. The campaign manager was probably there as a possible Trump campaign asset.
This negative talk about Cruz continues but without much if any sign of direction from Trump campaign h.q., which tells me it is like a dead frog reflex, it will go on until the corpse is entirely tossed. The speech should be that moment.
I can’t imagine Cruz pulling a “fast one” at this point, the country obviously stands at the crossroads and it’s time for everyone to choose. Ted Cruz is no more “Canadian” than any of you are. I am, let me tell you, Ted Cruz doesn’t fit here at all. Neither do I. He’s American. Get used to it.
;-)
Thanks, FRiend!!
Nope.
Lyin Ted is the furthest thing from my mind.
I can’t wait to work as hard to kick him out of his Senate seat, as I did to get him there.
Doesn’t live in my head...but has taken over yours.
Thanks, NBF...I read the whole article, and I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment.
I am a man of few words, and believe that brevity saves me time. Some here, seem to live on the interwebs. I have crops, and animals to tend.
You are a treasure, as are the rapier wits of Laz, 2ndDivisionVet, and humblegunner.
Many thanks!
Beaker! That is where I have seen that face before!
Was I posting to you, sister?
Then why reply? He must have ocean front view from your head...
Where is the 2015 Ted Cruz? You know, that guy that loved Trump?
***I cant wait to work as hard to kick him out of his Senate seat, as I did to get him there.***
What you said. Adios, Cruzachabra.
