Can’t be beat in terms of cost and coverage (in my area) assuming he needs a data plan. the biggest downside is...well... its google :)
You get credits back if you don’t use your full gig and if you go over a gig, you pay by the megabyte (a penny each?) instead of big chunks/bands of data.
I’m on Fi also. Typical bill is $30 a month after taxes. I’ve had coverage in the middle of nowhere traveling through WVa too :-). It uses both Sprint and TMobile networks (hops onto the better of the two depending on location) when there is no WiFi present.
Yes, Google is a liberal cesspool, but so are all of the others out there (I am going to check into Patriot after reading about it on this thread).
